Abinar 28mm f/2.8 Macro
I don't know much about Macro and I have been loving my inexpensive Albinar 28mm f/2.8 with Macro from eBay. It is made in Korea and I mention in previous post of $1K lens & $2K body in slr. And it gets the marking of 1:10, 1:8, 1:5, 1:4, the closest distance seem to be around 6" and so far I have pretty satisfied close up shots with it. I am newbie to Macro and I don't have any macro in my other lens and it is kind of odd to have macro at 28mm as I don't see it that often but I always see the popular ones as in 90mm, 105mm, 50mm and 200mm. Thank you for your test shots! Helped my decision to pass an Albinar.
You are very welcome. A long delay of reply but sincere thanks for the visit.
does the PK on the aperture ring mean that it can be set to auto aperture?
No for pentax digital bodies, PK without the 'A' aperture setting will be manual metering lens in digital pentax bodies. Once aperture is set on the ring, you need to do stop-down metering in M mode with the green button. PK lens only work in manual M mode in pentax digital bodies. In Av mode, the lens meter wide open.
