This is the most expensive lens that I have ever bid up on ebay. I am hoping it comes as a genuine copy of Lester Dine A 105mm f/2.8 1:1 Macro. With discussions on the net, this lens shares the optics similar to Vivitar Series 1 105mm f/2.8 1:1 Macro, made by Kiron. I have seen beautiful macro done with the Kiron 105mm f/2.8 1:1 Macro and my expectations are high on this true macro lens.
In all of my macro learning using diopter, extension tubes and 2x Macro adapter, I have made the conscious choice of going 1:1 in full image size over the sensor. My original plan is to purchase Tamron SP AF 90mm f/2.8 1:1 Macro and as soon as I spotted this in ebay, I was tempted and bid for the items hoping the vague listing has a good 50mm and it turns out to be an M 50mm f/1.7 which is less than I had hoped for.
I am yet to see how well the matching macro ring ight works on Pentax K10D/K100D. I hope to keep the Lester Dine along with the macro light and storage box. If I find interest in the ZX-50, I will let go of it for sure.
