Life is more fun when you have some goals and things to explore. It may be silly to others. Here is my cheapo quadruple lens plan and you are more than welcome to take a peek into my cheapo thinking and project.
A quadruple lens plan with a single prime in FA 50 f/1.4 with 3 TC's
- 1. A fast 50mm prime in f/1.4
- 2. A fast AF 70mm f/2.0 prime with 1.4x TC
- 3. A fast AF 85mm f/2.4 prime with 1.7x TC
- 4. An 100mm f/2.8 1:1 Macro with 2x Macro TC with 'A' aperture and manual focus
And I have tried the first combination in using Tamron 1.4x TC on Pentax FA 50 f/1.4

Impressions & Notes:
- Results are not too impressive but not bad either
- AF with Tamron 1.4x TC is dead on with the Pentax FA 50 f/1.4, fast and easy
- Some test shots done in f/2.8 are pretty reasonable in sharpness. This is subjective and need more test to confirm
- In a pinch without a good 70mm zoom such as my Tamron 28-75 f/2.8, I would use this mysterious Pentax FA 70 f/2.0
- Weight and size is not too bad at all, very comfortable as a 70mm prime
- Portraits are not impressive in terms of sharpness and color, more test needed to confirm
- Results are not yet conclusive as I have only used it for few test shots
- Flash shot with internal flash are faulted with unusable results. Seems like the presence of TC has made the internal flash unusable
