I just got my Konica Hexanon AR 40mm f/1.8 pancake. Its size is almost like the Sony E 16mm f/2.8 pancake. However, it is a bit of disappointment as the Konica AR to NEX adapter makes the pancake appeal quickly disappear as soon as I mount the lens on the adapter.
Lens is extended to longest end as it reaches 0.45 meter
minimum focusing point
it should be smaller at infinity focus point
However, the lens is still a reasonable sized and performance is good for its lower cost of ownership. The Olympus Pan F 38mm f/1.8 will be a much smaller setup due to smaller adapter. Image quality may be better in the Olympus Pan F lenses but the cost is probably 3-5 times of the Konica pancake.minimum focusing point

I did some casual snapshots in the weekend with Sony NEX 5N. Handling is quite good in the focusing ring. And I have a lens hood fit for the 55mm odd filter size. Wide open shots has a glow but when stopped down to f/2.8 and smaller, the glow don't seem to bother as much. I shot most of the snapshots in f/5.6.

Impressions & Notes
- Lens is small and lightweight. It is similar in size to the Sony 16mm f/2.8 pancake.
- Size of the Konica AR to NEX adapter is smaller than other SLR type of adapters but it is still quite big and once the lens is mounted on the adapter, all the pancake appeal will diminish a bit if size is what you are after
- In real use in the field, the lens has good performance for its low cost. The one thing I notice is a glow on details when the lens is shot wide open. When I stopped down the lens a bit to f/2.8 and smaller, the glowing edges of fine prints in test pictures seem less obvious
- The lens aperture stops are in full stops but I can still engage the aperture in between stops.
- I especially like the focusing ring for ease of focusing
- A good lens hood is recommended for this lens to have better control over flare
